About The Event
What we’ll cover:
Schedule and arrival times for all three locations: Canton (11 AM to 1 PM, Waleska Road and Riverstone Parkway), the Highway 92 bridge over I‑575 (1 PM to 2 PM), and Woodstock (2 PM to 4 PM, 8534 Main St)
Parking, carpools, and getting between locations
Role assignments: safety marshals, medics, sign holders at the polling zone, sign makers, water and supply runners, photo and video, and drivers
The Woodstock march route and the handoff at the 150 foot no campaigning zone, where volunteers hold signs while marchers vote at 7545 North Main Street, Building 200
Safety and de-escalation: staying on public sidewalks, keeping driveways and traffic clear, and what to do if someone gets hostile
Accessibility, supplies, and your questions
Early voting opens the same day as this meeting, so come ready to talk about how we’ll get as many neighbors as possible to the polls on Saturday.
Three actions, one day, all across Cherokee County. On Saturday, October 17, we’re holding No Kings: Vote Early sign waves in Canton, on the Highway 92 bridge over I‑575, and in downtown Woodstock, where we’ll march single file to early voting. Actions this size only run smoothly when every volunteer knows the plan before they arrive.
The Zoom link will be emailed to everyone who RSVPs about one hour before the meeting starts. Please RSVP so you get the link, and check your inbox (and your spam folder) that evening.
