Canton CAN is how neighbors show up together and turn quiet frustration into real influence over how our city grows.
You are not imagining it.
Canton is the seat where county level decisions actually happen. New rooftops keep getting approved. Public services stay stretched thin. There is no easy way to get across town without a car. And somehow the people who live and work here are the last ones consulted.
If you have ever sat with that feeling that your city is being shaped around you instead of with you, you are right. And you are not the only one who noticed.
We got tired of waiting too.
Canton CAN is a branch of the North Georgia Community Action Network, a volunteer led group of neighbors across Cherokee, Pickens, Bartow, Forsyth, and Cobb counties. We are not a political party. We are people who got tired of waiting for someone else to do something.
We show up to council meetings and commission meetings on the regular. We organize on the corner. We knock doors and write postcards. We have built something that local officials now have to pay attention to. You do not have to figure any of this out alone. That is what we are here for.
