Woodstock CAN is the founding branch of NGA CAN, building progressive community power in Woodstock since 2024.

We organize around local government accountability, housing affordability, immigrant rights, and civic participation in one of Cherokee County's fastest-growing cities. We show up at city hall, we track what elected officials do with our tax dollars, and we make noise when it matters. Join NGA CAN and plug into the Woodstock branch, or as many branches as you want.

TONIGHT: Public Hearing on "The Pitch" and Why You Need to Show Up

There is a major development proposal going before the Woodstock City Council tonight, and if the past few years have taught us anything about how this council operates, it is that the decisions they make in that chamber rarely reflect what residents actually want. They Cut My Mic. They Called the Police. I Finished the Statement Anyway.

On Monday night, I stood at the Woodstock City Council podium and talked about Cherokee County students being held in ICE detention. They cut my mic, called the police, and had me escorted out. I finished the statement anyway. Mayor Caldwell accused me of breaking the law and threatened me with a misdemeanor. The police let me go without incident. Tracy Collins smiled.
