Marietta City Residents! Join us Thur Aug 6 from 6-8p for a panel discussion with Dr. Chris Manganiello of the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and Dr. Amy Sharma of Science for Georgia to learn about the effects of data centers on our water, public health, and energy infrastructure. Hosted by Rep. Mary Frances Williams with Q&A to follow.

Background: Marietta City Council is meeting to discuss the rezoning of 16 acres of land on Powers Ferry Place from a storage facility into a tech hub. Marietta residents are pushing back against the proposed 18-megawatt data center, but city leaders paused the project last month to study environmental impacts and noise concerns raised by the local community.
