Tech Watch Kickoff: Our First Organizing Meeting

The surveillance contract. The data center rezoning. The AI platform buried on page 240 of a consent agenda. Local governments across North Georgia are approving technology deals with real costs to residents, and most of us find out after the vote.

Tech Watch exists to change that timeline. September 2 is the kickoff, and it is a working meeting.

In one hour we will cover what we found this year, what is already moving through Cherokee and the counties around it, and how the program runs going forward: who reads which packets, how records requests get filed, and how we get people to the microphone while a vote is still in play.
