About The Event
On August 24, the Woodstock City Council will cast the final vote on whether to annex Ansley Park into the city, rezone the property, and approve the development that could displace about 130 families. The Council has the power to say no.
This decision affects far more than one neighborhood. It will shape traffic on Dupree Road and surrounding streets, local school crowding, flooding concerns, housing affordability, and whether Woodstock's own development standards can be waived whenever a developer asks.
History shows that full council chambers matter. Elected officials pay attention when residents take the time to show up. If the room is empty, they hear silence. If it is full, they see a community demanding accountability.
Whether you live in Woodstock, have family nearby, or simply believe established neighborhoods deserve protection, your presence can make a difference. Even if you don't speak, being counted in that room matters.
If you want to speak, arrive by 6:30 PM to sign up at the door. You do not need to sign up in advance to attend.
Wear green if you can. Bring a neighbor, bring your family, and fill every seat. Stand with the families of Ansley Park and everyone who wants growth that respects existing communities instead of replacing them.
Let's make sure the Council sees exactly who they are voting for, and who they are voting against. Learn more and take action:
