Planning Commission Hearing – Save Ansley Park

The Woodstock Planning Commission will make its recommendation on a proposal that would annex Ansley Park into the city, rezone the property, and clear the way for roughly 220 new homes. If approved, about 130 working families who have built their lives here could ultimately be displaced.

This isn't just about one neighborhood.

The proposal would bring more than 2,100 additional daily car trips to local roads, add an estimated 160 students to area schools, increase development on flood-prone land, and set a precedent that established communities can be replaced whenever a developer sees a more profitable use for the land.

The Planning Commission's vote is only a recommendation, but it shapes what happens next. A packed hearing sends a clear message that Woodstock residents are paying attention before the issue reaches City Council.

Developers are counting on empty seats. Let's prove them wrong.

Join your neighbors, wear green if you can, and help fill the room. Even if you don't speak, your presence matters. Public officials notice when residents show up, and they notice when they don't.
